It was so crazy-windy the day we were taking these photos - we high-tailed it home right after, and I could swear the wind was pushing us along. It was the kind of day that, were I still seven years old, I might've tried jumping off of the porch holding an umbrella, hoping against hope that it would catch the wind...you know, Mary Poppins style.
*sigh*
This sweet lady made this lovely headband and said it reminded her of me - and then she sent it in the mail! You can't see it too well in my photos, but it's very pretty and Egyptian/flapper-like. Here's one of her photos:

It's reached the time of year where I begin wearing slips-as-dresses. Here it's topped off with one of my favorite blouses (I love the row of so many shiny buttons, the sleeve detail. the general Victorian-ishness...everything) and a sash. Light-as-air silk is just perfect for 80 degrees and above.
And I can't get enough of my star locket. It's vying with my bee pendant for most-worn necklace status right now.
