It has been a good little while since this post, in which I shared the first of the Alice series I've been working on in the background. The project started with portraits of four important inhabitants of Wonderland: The White Rabbit, The Red Queen/Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, and, well, Alice.
Here's Mr. Rabbit, again, since it has been such a long time since he first debuted (and you can click back to the earlier post referred to above to see/read more about him):

I've long since completed the portraits, and have moved on to other paintings for the series, so I think it's high time I start sharing everything here. Before I'm buried under a pile of paintings that I've kept locked away in my studio!
And here to make her debut is the Red Queen, who is a combination of the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen (they always kind of swirled together in my mind as one, anyway).

I thought, this time, it would be fun to have her be rather pretty, instead of the grizzled monarch she usually is. I'm sure she could still be quite irrational and decapitation-crazed, just as the others have been!
There is lots more Alice-themed work still to come, so stay tuned to the Wonderland station here at ye olde blog.
Happy Tuesday & Hope all is well!
