The Cheshire Cat 8"x10"x1" Acrylic on wood
Like with the four portrait paintings, I wanted to really think about what the Cheshire Cat would look like when adapted into my own world. As I worked on the painting, this fellow is who came forward.
I don't think it's a coincidence that he's grey striped and just as plump as a certain fur-pants dum dum I know all too well.
Unrelated: My thoughts keep drifting to Japan. I'm fervently sending all my best wishes for them right now.
Also unrelated, and much less important: I have been inordinately excited to see the new Jane Eyre, but I fear it's not in town yet. I hope I'm wrong!
