I'll be putting these in the shop on Friday, around noon my time (Pacific)...but I just couldn't wait to show them to you. I have been hard at work on a catalogue/book/compendium for the Oddfellow's series since it wrapped up, and the packaging and details are finally worked out and bundled up!
There are two versions splitting the limited run of 100 books - a simple version (the book only, sealed in its official envelope) and a deluxe version, pictured below:
It includes the Oddfellow's Compendium itself, which measures 8.5" x 8.5", and is 54 pages long. Inside are pages from my sketchbook, inspiration images, and - most importantly - each piece from the series (with their corresponding story, if indeed there was one). The book is slipped into an over-sized kraft envelope, and sealed in red sealing wax with a regal "O", naturally. Additionally, the set includes a lovely little dancing bear notecard + envelope, as well as the Official Badge, which is constructed from vintage velvet ribbon in red, green, or brown. The badge is packaged on a neat specially designed card, and arrives in its own tiny envelope!
I just love those badges. So many people were clamoring for them after the last update, when the dolls were sporting them, and so I knew I had to make more!
I'll have more images of the book's interior to share on Friday!
Oh!
And, in good-things-happening-to-good-people (fantastic people, actually) News, I learned last night that my pal Robert Mahar, appreciator and emperor of all things lovely, will be making his adorable sock skeleton with Martha on October 14th! I can't wait to see it. I got to meet Robert this Summer, in San Francisco, and let me just say this: the man is the most charming, clever fella and all-'round good egg. I know he will put Ms. Stewart under his spell and the segment and soft-skeleton making will be amazing.
Also, Small Object Sarah's brand spankin' new products for Chronicle are out, and they are just perfect. You can peruse the Label + Sticker set (which must be mine soon), Sticky Notes, and perhaps most special of all, the Thumbprint Notecard Set, and everything about them looks perfect. The marriage of Chronicle's + Sarah's sensibility is a no-brainer, and completely wonderful. Those red/white horizontal pinstripes in the packaging! So good.
Okay, happy Wednesday to you!
See you very soon.
