A week or so ago when I asked for thoughts/input on the issues with the dolls, I got quite a few emails from smart cookies suggesting doll kits. Little did you know, clever suggesters, but the gears have been turning for just such a project for months! Hooray!
Kits are the bee's knees, and I was so bemused that so many folks were on the same page, without knowing what was going on behind the scenes.
One of my favorite friends, Mr. Devlin T., schemed up this project idea at dinner back in Athens one night, and I've been working out the details ever since. I wanted the kits to include some of my special Black Apple-exclusive fabric, and (almost) all of the materials that I use to make my own dolls. The same wool felt, same muslin, etc. I got the wee instruction cards back from the printers way back in August, but being busy with paintings and dolls and things, I got distracted from the kit-making.
But now I'm back at it, and I'm all ready for the first batch to hit the shop (which I think will be later this week)! I'm really excited about these, and I hope you will be, too! I'll be back soon to share more photos of the kits in all their cuteness.
Happy Monday!
