Springtime Lunch
I think even the most goth person can appreciate that the warm weather brings us smoothies, and smoothies are just the best.
I had a nice, quiet week...with visiting, scribbling, and computer-work and a very-soon-approaching road trip on the horizon. I'm excited to see my mom this weekend, and to celebrate the moms of every stripe, everwhere! They all deserve a smoothie.
Happy Weekend, everyone.
xoxo
PS: There are only 4 sets left of the bookplates (I can't believe how quickly 50 packets of them went! Goodness!) so, if you had your heart set on them, you might want to hop over to the shop.
(Edit: All sold out! I will consider doing a reprint, and I can't even tell you how thrilled I am that people love bookplates so much)

Oh wow! I have been looking for great bookplates for ages, and good ones are very hard to find. I've only just discovered you and I just love your work so much and your blog. Can you please do a reprint! Pretty please!!

Wow, I actually got to something before it sold out! I received my bookplates here in the UK yesterday along with my Button Collector print. They arrived quickly and I love them all - thanks!

My faaaavorite smoothie recipe of all time (I drink mine for lunch, not breakfast, by the way ;) is:
*three to four chunks of frozen mango
*one or two decent sized strawberries
*small handful of walnuts
*generous helping of honey
*fill the remaining space with soy milk
This'll give you one tall glass of smoothie awesomeness. I've been drinking this one consistently for longer than I'd like to admit (hooray for ruts that aren't unhealthy!).

What a wonderful lunch. Our farmers market just opened here in Davidson, NC and we now have the most wonderfully sweet strawberries. Life is good! Absolutely adore your work. So thought provoking. Love it.
Cheers,

That is a wonderful meal. I have been on the look out for good meals for my family for all times of the day. I find that frozen fruit has been very good for snacks or fun to chill lemonade! They also work well for smoothys. YUM!
