Beautiful Bookplates
I don't know if I've ever been so excited over a printed product for the shop. Really and truly, these so exceeded my expectations when they returned from the printers, I was in paper-nerd heaven!
The surface of each label is very lightly textured, and just so darn nice.
We're already putting ours to use around here! Josiah asked if he could have 900, and I said: "...You can have maybe 9". I've been scheming these since the freebie download at Craftsanity, and I'm so proud to offer them in my shop. They are packaged up in glassine packets, and look so very pretty that way.
They're now in ye olde shoppe, so if you're of the bookplate-ish persuasion, hop over and take a peek!

You have the most unique ideas! No wonder we all come back to visit so often.

I love these! Do you think you'll make any for boys? I have a very special little boy book fiend in my house who would love to have his own bookplates.

Thank you for the doll pattern you put on the Martha site- I made my first one over the weekend, for a wee girls birthday and she loved it.. I think! Was so easy to follow and to sew- think I'm going to be giving lots of dolls as gifts from now on. I popped a picture on my blog if you'd like to see. Thanks again,
Olivia

(continued from last post)
Something wonderful occurred to me today, I feel like a dunce for not thinking this already, which is that, If I could teach myself how to design knits, I can teach myself to design websites! Technologically inclined or not! Now you're probably thinking, Yikes, this girl must spend her whole day just thinking up things to write in my comments. Well, you're wrong. I only do that Tuesdays and Thursdays.

These are so sweetly sophisticated! I'd love to see boy ones but I may have to get these for my son's hardback books. Ok, so he's only two but I want to pass down his books to his children and have a nice bookplate inside. Well done and congrats on your last update. Didnt get a doll as the one in my card was already taken:) Look forward to the next one!

Hi! I wrote you and email a while ago asking about startup biz advice, but then I listened to your Craftsanity podcast, about how you receive dozens of letters like that every day asking how to set up a store just like yours, and I understand you're very busy making cute things, and that it would take forever to answer all of them. But I'm kinda thick-headed, so I thought I'd ask this qwuestion anyhoo: I want to open in about one month, I'm building a li'l pile of stock, but am completely stuck on my website/blog. After looking at many, many sites, I decided to go with typepad for my blog. Having no programming/web designing experience myself, I'm struggling designing my site. I was wondering, do you design yours yourself, or did you have to hire someone? Is there a how-to resource for making a pretty site/blog, particularly and arty-centred one, that I haven't found yet? Second question, a brief one: Your pics are always stunning and sharp, what kind of camera do you use? I'm getting much better with my digital 3.2 megapixel, but there is a distinct lack of sharpness in my pictures - the details are always blurry. Not so good when you're photographing crafts, right? I read your blog whenever there's a new post, and from one old soul to another, three cheers to your crafty loveliness, and the inspiration you bring to lots of arts and craftsters!

Perfecto Miss! They make me want to paste them in all of my husbands books. I am very sure he would give me attitude about it, sadly. I wrote his name in a book once before we were married because a friend of his was going to read it and he went off on me.
Posted by: Rebecca | May 01, 2008 at 06:21 PM
Oh they are just lovely! I would consider myself in the paper nerd catagory as well. :)
