The Afternoon Fled From Me!

Well, the afternoon got away from me...so this post is a little late in the day. I got caught up in finishing making up a round of (pretty awesome) new Sophie dolls, and then my new sewing machine came (!!!), and well, here I am at 8 pm.

Here, also, is a new painting I finished work on in the last few days:

All Horns and Thorns    11"x14"x2"    Acrylic on canvas

Her crown is, to me, like the lace band from this post of Amy's.

Have a happy night, and I'll see you tomorrow for the update (I'll try my very best to post photos here of the new Sophies before the update goes live).

xoxo

Very beautiful Emily!! I especially like her skirt! It looks so elegant and sheer! Great effect!

Oh.. she looks like a little forest fairy.. I love her!

...precious young lady!

She is so beautiful!! I love her outfit, those petal-like sleeves are lovely.
I'm quite sure this is my new favorite painting of yours :D

your trip to Portland must have really been inspiring, your latest paintings are simply majestic.

I do enjoy that the dress she is wearing looks like the one you wear in a photo from some girls wander. But it is green here! I love them both.

...Oh! and I love her lace~crown...the sweetest of touches for her.

It's perfect in every way ;)

This looks to be like your best update yet..Yes? It'll be C-R-A-Z-Y.F-U-N!!

Can't wait!

See ya tomorrow,
<3~michelle.friend

oh her crown! I want a lacy crown!

Your paintings just get more and more beautiful. I swear, I'll never be able to pick a favorite.

My daughter is a Sophie (Sophie Jemima), so I very strongly feel that you should give the male versions my son's name, which is Felix. :) Okay, okay, you don't have to use Felix, but they DO need a name.

Beautiful paintings!!! It'll be the first time I'm attempting to catch the store update as I'm 7hours ahead! As it all sells insanely fast, I was wondering how much do the paintings sell for so that I spend less time browsing and more time trying to buy ;)? Thanks!

she is just magical!!

oh i hope i make it home in time to for the update!

Beautiful-wonderful-creations!!

This is stunning!! My wish list of your work seems to be getting longer and longer. You are so talented! Well done.

what kind of sewing machine did you get?

beautiful. I actually saved all those images from amy's post because I was so, so in love with them. I recognized that lace crown immediately! =)

Sweet... what kind of machine did you end up going with! Ha, I noticed that crazy shop update..... good for you! The velvet dolls look sweet, and the new paintings were beautiful!

Oh I love your new painting. Simply delicious. Makes me want to wear gauzy fairy skirts all the time, even while riding my motorbike!

is "all horns and thorns" a Joanna Newsom reference?

how come your painted girls get to wear prettier outfits than meeeeeeeee? i want to wear a tutu skirt like thus!
