Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou
Thank you for all the overwhelming kindness and support and reassurances yesterday.
Aaaaand thanks to the great Dave from me (and all of us, really) for uploading the video from the
Martha show yesterday!!! Just follow the link!
EDIT: Google removed the video for some reason, but I just checked and it's here on the official Martha site, so no worries!
Now all of you Aussies and folks who had to be at work (and had to miss the grandeur that is daytime television) can watch us make the dollies, and watch me make about 100 strange and hilarious facial expressions that I didn't know I had prior to yesterday .
Hurrah!

oh my! emily you were so poised! i loved seeing you on there! with martha stewart? that is so crazy fantastic!! you are a true inspiration!

Congratulations!! I've just watched the video and was very impressed . You were so relaxed and at ease on the screen , I think we all just wanted to be there too ! I'm the proud owner of one of your prints .....now I'm going to have to make a doll .....though it probably isn't quite as easy as you made it look !

Dear Emily,
Thank you so so much for taking the mouse pincushion that I have made for you on to Martha's Show.
It has boosted my sales and I was very excited to see the mouse on the table, especially as I love your work so much.
Thanks Emily, you have made my day!

Wow! Great segment. I could tell that Martha totally likes you! I wouldn't be surprised if she invited you to her place or for an event. She was impressed by your business sense and craftiness. :)
I love those little dolls and I think I'm going to make a couple for practice, then do that idea of making the dolls at a birthday party. My daughter turns 8 in November...so I have a bit to practice my rusty sewing skillz.

Congratulations, this is so important: you are such an inspiration for me, really. I´m in awe!

You were so good. I never comment but I just had to drop you a line to say that I always notice everyone is awkward and on the offense when around Martha, but you were so calm, cool and your self! (example: the recent Xtina Ricci). Congrats on landing such a cool gig!

Oh, just so you know, I added a link to your Martha Stewart show video on my blog! I came across one of Betz White so I posted that too!

...EMILY!
OMG.. Tobey is so right!
I thought the same exact thing about you on the show on Tuesday. I just wasn't going to mention it :) BUT.... Yeah, you totally remind me of Drew Barrymore! Your facial expressions and especially your voice.
I hope you don't mind me saying that, Drew is adorable... as are you...!

Emily, I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice a large increase in the sales of my shop this week, and I know your presence on Martha has something to do with that. Etsy is rocking! Thanks for the incredible publicity. And you were so cute and cool-headed!

Emily~ Just wanted to let you know how adorable I thought you were on Martha's show! You handled it all so well! I think it is admirable that you really didn't want to mention the amount of money you make. Keep up the GREAT work!!! You are so neat!!!! ~Amanda in MO

Would you believe that my local NBC station recently removed Martha's show from their schedule? They show some vile TMZ show in that time slot instead. Horror of horrors! Thank goodness she posts video segments on her website. It was such a thrill to see you on her show! Congrats!
PS: I had a dinner party last week and some of my guests asked about the Black Apple print that I have hanging in my breakfast nook. I e-mailed them the link to your Etsy shop & they are HOOKED! Don't you just love work-of-mouth marketing? ;)
Posted by:MrsSteel | March 13, 2008 at 02:43 PM
You did great, and your dolls are so adorable.
I think that sometimes Martha can be socially awkward with guests, and you handled it nicely! Can't wait to see what show you'll be on next!
Posted by:Kristin | March 13, 2008 at 01:26 PM
That was awesome! Thank you for sharing with all of us. You make Martha look like the "guest" :) What's next? The Black Apple Show? I can see it!
