Well, here is the completed little lady Miette was attempting to bite the other day (he didn't succeed in his efforts, by the way...the painting is cat-tooth free):

I just love The Button Collector. From one Button Collector to another....

Oh, I loved your buttons girl's sweater so much, I had to make one for myself!

It reminds me of my kindergarden teachers.
Thanks for the inspiration!

The Button Collector is so beautiful. Thank you! Will it be in the shop, or has it already been sold?

Bonjour Emily! Your two last paintings are just beautiful, I admire the fact that you in such a classical way unusual subjects. Congrats on your Martha's appearance! Please come and visit when you have a minute! Great, great work! And we seem to have very similar tastes in home decor... Take care, LuLu

Love all the buttons on the sweater. The sweetest.

I LOVE the button collector's hair!

OOOOhhhhhhh I love it when you paint your little ladies with brown eyes! xxxx

I was wondering when I would see that peppermint swirl button from a couple weeks back.

what a treat!

kudos Emilita!

Once again, I feel like it's me you drew (in Gosling and Cyget)... i wish i could say why, somebody help me words here... what's the correct adjective for the expression her girls usually have... that feeling they convey, like they're all alone, they seem so fragile... and the tenderness with which they hold their animals, ... this is me you draw.

Buttons!!!!!!! Yay!

I love "The Button Collector!" Lovely work as always. :)

"Gosling and Cygnet" is my all time favorite from you, such a wonderful world inside this painting, I really "feel" it, and beautiful beautiful girls and little animals... I'm so thrilled this painting will be mine in a little moment! Thank you Emily :)

I LOVE button collector!

What a wonderfully sweet button collector! I love buttons and have a pretty big stash! I can't wait to see whats in the shop today!
Happy weds!

I love the buttons! My daughter surprised me with one of your prints for my birthday. She also treated herself to one. I love it!!!
Catherine

i love all of the new paintings!

Both paintings are adorable but Gosling and Cygnet is standing out to me because of the adorable sweeping of freckles on the young lady's nose! Such a sweet little touch.

My breath actually caught in my throat when I saw The Button Collector. I think I must have this one to sdd to my ever growing collection of Black Apple prints. My house will be full of them.

How wonderful! Such beautiful paintings both of them!

Absolutely Gorgeous! I could spend all day looking at the buttons on her cardigan, such a sweet idea xo

GOODNESS!!!!
so many new lovely paintings... and such wonderful work!

Sorry, by 'this particular one' I meant Gosling and Cygnet :) The Button Collector is gorgeous as well.

Wow, your work is amazing. And beautiful. I like the frank, wistful gaze of your subjects in this particular one. Love the muted colours, as well.

Andrea

I love all your paintings! So original! ^.^ So beautiful! Everything always has this slight haze. Like looking at an old photograph.

do you do portraits?
I'm thinking that would be to expensive for me. But if I had the cash I would get you to do a BlackApple-version of my daughter. Perhaps you should investigate this angle in your business. It could be done with a photo and description of favorite hobbies, colours, animals, songs, etc. Whatever would give you material to use in the portrait. It'd be expensive, but I can almost guarantee you'd sell some.

like? no way LOVE

lovely work...you should pop by and check out some of my work...

I really need that sweater in real life!

This is my favorite to date! I love it!

I love the button collector painting! I love her hair! I also love the striped red dress on the other one, adorable!

the button girl looks a bit like emily. my cat likes to bite things too, including my bedposts. It always makes me chuckle when he does.

Beautiful paintings. I love the buttons!!

Alas, synchronizing the clocks won't help me. I'm one of your working class, day shift, fans. :-(

Good luck to all who have the opportunity to buy!

So pretty!!! I have to tell you: lately I've been coveting the pretty clothes your girls wear in your recent paintings. Especially that stripy-red dress and a top with *buttons embellishment galore*!

I _love_ the birds. Just beautiful, Emily. Nice to see you're not resting on your Martha laurels. :-) (Has anyone noted that Martha totally acted like Oprah with you, never letting you finish any of your sentences? Is it craft-world blasphemy to criticize the big M? Now I want to make a joke about the big _house_, but I'm not going to. That's called _restraint.)

Oh, they're so sweet! This soft palette feels *just right* and I love the little birds, how you've made them all downy and fluffy. Just lovely work - and what a treat to see so many new things from you lately!

I love your paintings. The colors are so dreamy! My husband bought 'Wonders Never Cease' for me for Christmas and I proudly display it on my mantel. People are always commenting on what a great picture it is. Love your work!

The button collector is beautiful!! And that goose is amazing, so lifelike :)

Wow you have certaintly been busy miss Martin. I love the button collector. Great painting!

Thought you might appreciate my latest post too. I did a DIY for an up and coming DEsign Sponge post on how to "Pimp yo Kitchen Hansel and Gretel Style". it even includes a PDF of the steps. :)
