Oh, where does the week go?
In my case, it was eaten up by some really un-fun errands, tons of shipping/packing, and a bit of drawing/designing. Oh, and reading the 6th Harry Potter book so that I can snap up the last one tonight at 12:01 am. Very exciting...
Here's a new little hedgie drawing/collage to say "Happy Friday" to you:
One of my favorite things about summer is the subsisting on fruit and veggies and fish and such. I love winter-food, too, but this is a real summer lunch feast:
I am so crazy for peppered garbanzos right now. We are eating them for lunch seriously every other day! I always loved them when I was little, so I guess it's just like my broccoli addiction...meaning its here to stay.
I hope that good weekends are on the way for everyone! I'll be back with more to say/show soon.
PS: Thank you so much for all the love on the "Tear Papa" print! It means alot whenever you guys give something a thumbs up, but especially something with so much personal history in it.

love love love the hedgie! so adorable.

I am in serious wonderment about those garbanzos...how are they prepared, exactly? Inquiring vegetarians want to know!
Also- I love your new hedgie!

I love your blog and added it to my links. : ) You are very creative and artistic and such a girly girl.
Loving the feast you have pictured here...this is how I eat, too, and summer foods are definitely the BEST! Eating these foods for lunch is also why you have such beautiful skin and pretty eyes in your photo.
Have a good week! -kate : )

garbanzo used to be my absolute favorite snack growing up! I ate them right out of the can. :D I haven't eaten them in far too long...
Nooooooo! Not more hedgehogs *sniff* And I adore records too. :( You really must stop this barrage of hedgehogy cuteness or I will break my vow to stop buying on etsy for a bit. Gah!

I love your Papa print. Have you seen the lastest Harry movie? How is your favorite character? I love Snape! It's so evil yet I think deep down he has a love for Harry because (just speculation) I think he loved Lilly Harry's mom. He is so sexy too. Have a good reading weekend. Paige has a copy resevered and we're off soon.

I've never been a garbanzo fan. I don't even like hummus! I make a dip with cannelini beans that I much prefer. I too cannot wait for Harry Potter!!!! Also, I love the hedgehog with the record player. Too cute.

Is "garbanzos" the american word for what I would call chickpeas (ie those delicious pulses you use to make humous). If that's not what it means you'll probably find me very strange for explaining what a chickpea is... Oh I do love chickpeas! I really have never heard "garbanzos" before. I'm having breakfast with my american friend in 9 hours so I will have to quiz her about it. I'm so excited to learn a new double-word. I love the word capsicum (do americans use that as well as australians?). It's so much more exciting and unique than the word pepper.

mmmmm, peppered garbanzos... do you cook them at all, or just cold with pepper? I'm crazy about edamame lately - like the full pods boiled and then lightly salted afterwards. yum. I need to read the 6th Harry Potter again quick, I hardly remember it at all...
happy weekend!
