Just Good Things...
I always love simple little "This is what I like today" posts, like Amy's from today...so here is one for you! I'm knee deep in lots of making for the shop update, and these are a few things that I love today:

*Seonna Hong's newer work from the most recent issue of Juxtapoz. I had seen a few of the other pieces before, but this bear one just killed me. It reminds me a bit of my own Little Bear girl...

*The newly spic+span Hillary's New Years card...tacked up with a hodgepodge of other things I like to look at...
* Extra pretty and extra tasty cupcakes made with Ms. Sara this afternoon after investing in some frosting tips...why the heck I didn't have some already is a mystery to me!
* The best little hedgie cards, ordered recently from a super stationary shop, PaperedTogether.
What a nice laundry-list. I'm so excited about all the stuff I'm getting ready for the shop update, and I think it will be happening on Wednesday, circa the afternoon (3:00 EST) instead of tomorrow. I'm sorry I've got to put if off just a bit, but I promise it will be worth the wait. Some of the things in store (another mini-list):
- Originals! (of course)
- Dolls + creatures
- Valentines, both semi-conventional and otherwise (tricky, tricky)
- Jewelry/trinket boxes (!!! I am so excited about these)
- And maybe...maybe...the return of the Isobels
Happy Monday!
(a good week is ahead)

Hi from San Francisco! I have been a fan of your Etsy shop for a while, and just now discovered your blog! You are so talented and cute, I just had to tell you. We are also big Seonna Hong fans and my daughter (3) loves your artwork too.

This is my first time reding your blog... so much fun! Love your art, and will check in tomorrow to see the updated shop. I've just read and enjoyed Little, Big,... I found it hard read, because it's not the type of book you can pick up in odd moments: it must be read with dedicaton, and since I have an at-home craft business (forestwhimsy.net) and a child, I steal my book- reading moments. So many of your images are what my daughter and I enjoy - we have a black bunny named Pixie, and yearn for a hedgehog (illegal in California). Cupcakes, stripes and polka dots - love 'em! I have a painting in my living room you'd love. I bought at the Salvation Army in Hell's Kitchen in NYC 15 years ago. It was priced at $16 for months, and finally I went to the desk and said, "No one but me is ever going to buy that painting, are you ever going to discount it?" And they did. $8.00. Thank you for such a fun blog and lovely artwork!

I love to see those Isobels! Hmmm...maybe I need some frosting tips.

I've been debating on whether it's worth getting frosting tips since I don't bake that often....but I think you convinced me that it's still nice to have when needed. :)

Can't wait to see the shop update. My order arrived today, two of the prints are supposed to be gifts - I don't know if I can part with Stella and Luna though.

Now I am really itching to make cupcakes but it is too late in the evening (because if I make them, I will eat them and then I won't be able to sleep!) but I think cupcake making is a definite for this weekend's agenda.

I am sure you have seen this http://www.janbrett.com/
but I was just there the other day and they have updated a lot of things. The hedgie reminded me of it. On the off chance you haven't seen this site, I just know you will love it.
