Do you remember last year when Anthropologie had those teeny, tiny sweaters at Christmastime?
I do, and I've been thinking of them ever since. They were so very cute, with tiny buttons and all... So this year, with the leftovers from my felted stocking garland (which I'll show off by the way after Thanksgiving, which is when I'm allowed to start decorating for Christmas) I made these six littles.
I went off in search of tiny hangers for them today, but they were nowhere to be found! There should be tiny hangers about. I say there should. Here's a few more images:
How I do love those teensy buttons.
In shop news, I've restocked the Holiday Cards already! My printer is amazing (so is Paper Source) so there are lots up. Also, I have more of those lovely pendants coming up! There a few new designs this time, too! They should arrive in the next week or so, and I'll list them straight away for holiday delivery.
And I'm hoping to get some originals done, and maybe a dollie or two. I'm getting to that point when I really need to, rather than just wanting to. It feels...wrong...to not have painted any new little girls or bunnies or foxes or stitched any little doll-sized maryjanes in so many days! But also, the shop is keeping me super busy, and I've got alot of things I need to wrap up tonight and tomorrow that that I can spend time with some Emily-loves later this week.

Did you ever find the tiny hangers? I've knitted many tiny sweaters for Christmas tree ornaments but cannot find tiny hangers for them. The hangers need to be about 2.5" wide.

I have an idea for your tiny sweaters - depending on how tiny. Have you thought about getting the dolls house size coat hangers which are one twelth size?
At your local dolls house shop or probably Ebay

I love those sweaters and all the darling things you make. The craft store in my neighborhood has these cutest tiny hangers that are wire, but they are shaped so there is a little heart in the middle. I bought some and painted them bright lime green with metal paint and tied little pink gingham bows on them and they made cute tie ons for little baby gifts and I can't remember what all I did with them. I just love cute little stuffs.

A friend who collects dolls (coughcoughBarbiescough) sometimes goes here for itty-bitty clothing hangers (she has a small closet full of doll clothes - don't ask):

Hope that helps!
P.S. - Your teeny sweaters are adorable!

I dunno...tiny hangers are cute but I kind of like the 'clothesline' effect you have going now.

so sweet. I've made miniature wooden hangers before, but it was years ago so I don't know what happened to them. It wasn't too difficult, but the wire ones are much easier. I cut the shapes out with a coping saw and then drilled a tiny hole in the top and glued the wire hanger part in.

Those are great....in my obsessed by miniatures days I made coat hangers from paper clips. Quite easy.
Our local craft store also sells cothes pins that are tiny enough to work.
Again, great sweaters!

For mini hangers you may find some at scrapbooking stores- they often have mini everything for embellishing scrapbook pages.

Emily,
You could easily create your own tiny hangers with some copper wire from Home Depot. It's pretty cheap (around $4 I think). Then use some needlenose plyers to help you shape the wire. They would be super cute and made to fit your tiny sweaters:-)

those are so cute! you could probably make your own little hangers fairly easily if you had some decent wire for it... also, that way you would be sure they fit your sweaters. : )

Those are very cool. I'm sure you'd find Barbie hangers at any big toy store.

Hi, your little tiny sweaters are so cute! I believe you can find little hangers at www.papiervalise.com. I know that they did have them because I ordered some from them a while back.
Will you be listing these in your shop? Or are they just decorations for you!
Super cute!!
