Just a little smattering of some pre-Christmas happy things. I, like the little chicken Amy, didn't get any of the Tord garland from Target, but I did get these lovely little peppermint lollies. I'm trying not to be too sad that I won't have any of the pretty white garland!
And that cover for the holiday Magic Cabin catalogue?! Good grief, it's one of the most beautiful Christmasy images I've ever seen. That catalogue has been enchanting me since I was a little, but when I saw it sitting on the kitchen counter at my Mom's, I fell under its spell again.
Also above are the cut-out felted stockings for the aforementioned stocking garland, ready to be stitched and be-pompom'd, and stacks of the pretty cards ready to go off to their homes. Today I've got orders to finish packing, a trip to the P.O. (have I TOLD you yet what an amazing difference there is between my former NY P.O. and the one here?! Let's just say it's making a big difference in the quality of my working life). Then I'm bound and determined to get the studio up and running and in a pleasing, Emily-inspiring way. The cherry red that Jenny and I painted it on Friday night is actually a bit of a tomato, as it is layered over the old 70's orange that was here when I moved in. Got to get my inspiration wall up and all my little doo-dads and useful things out and usable. Then and only then do I get to start seriously making things again...
Oh! And I have a little plan for my living room. There is a great deal of empty wall space...and...well.. lI'll just say that I keep harkening back to Amy's wall-prettiness post from a month or two ago. Maybe tonight's project? Maybe so.
