A bit of a grab-bag today, for my sweet peas and snapdragons:
First, these two girls. Who I'm hoping I can convince to be my best friends. And if that doesn't work...kidnapping?
It doesn't matter to me that they're in Finland, or that I am basically stealing the cutie on the right from Birdie, who was probably hoping that she could make her a best friend as well. These two girls, as well as lots of other lovelies and crazies are on Hel-Looks, which seems to be like a Finnish "Fruits" . Lovely.
Also, a few new paintings in the shoppe:
On the left, another painting on wood. I named it "Adorable Forest", because that's what it is. On the right, we have the mysterious "Braidscarf"... complete with real buttons!
So, the great thing about basically living alone for all practical purposes is that I get to watch movies no one in their right mind would EVER watch with me. Such as Greenfingers, a ridiculous british comedy (a slightly romantic comedy) that Clive (my well documented husband ) appeared in just before he hit the big time in the U.S. It's about an ex-con who becomes a master gardener...no really. It is. I think the silliest part of the film was the gratuitous use of the "Montage", particularly a very literal montage towards the beginning that was set to Tears for Fears' "Sowing the Seeds of Love". So hilarious. I'm trying to be a Clive Completist here, so don't make fun!
Tonight I have a date with my best girl to see Trust the Man, so my uncharacteristic Girl-Movie-Watching-Bonanza continues!
Happy Weekend, and Happy September.
and thank you for being around.
xo

Hooray Greenfingers! I, too, watched it based solely on hte fact that it contained the always-lovely Clive. (My husband deeply resents the number of movies we have to watch that contain him.) It was cheesy, yes, but charming.
Oh, and I loved "Inside Man." Of course, he wears a mask most of the movie. :(
Kate-- "The Hire" is how I first met le Clive. Loveliness.

Most of the time, I wish I could steal you and make you my best friend, so I know what you mean.

Tee hee, Emily! I thought I was the only person in the world who'd seen "Greenfingers". And yes, it's pretty corny, but Clive is lovely.
In the interest of your quest to be a "Clive Completest" don't forget "The Hire"--a series of 8 short films done as a sort of promo thing for BMW. (I'll lend you my copy if you can't find it!)
Nora and Henry sends hugs...and we are all really happy about Fall 'round these parts, too!

I have a major man-crush on Clive Owen.. he is so dreamy (which is why I also rented Greenfingers about a year or two ago). I just adore him.
We saw Trust the Man 2 weeks ago and it was really good- the reviews weren't so great but we both loved it. AND it's set in NYC so I am sure you'll love it as well (I think my hubby loved it because he has a major woman-crush on Julianne Moore!)
