I'm here, I'm making things, I promise
Since I've been on a wee painting hiatus (maybe you have noticed?) I feel like I've been idle...or it appears that way on le blog. But I haven't! You must believe me...I haven't been idle.
For instance, I've been on a bag-making kick:
These will each be for sale at The Black Apple in the next day or so!
I know that they're a bit "one of these things is not like the other", but I haven't really settled into a cohesive bag-making-mood yet. Its coming along, though.
Last night I stitched up some hedgehogs after going to see Of Montreal for free, which was very fun (they closed with "Crazy", that Gnarls Barkley song that is pretty great & strangely very befitting Of Montreal). It's nice to see an Athens band playing in Brooklyn...it feels cozy.
These little boys are off to the wonderful Robert Mahar, and his sweetest-of-the-sweets online shop:
That little one with the tie just KILLS me.
The last little bit of eye candy are these new sweet buttons that came from Busy Beaver today:
On top of all of those little things, I Post Office'd today, which is always such an experience.
Whew, now I feel like less of a lay-about!
Happy Mondays, my dears!

Oh, my! What sweet little lovelies! I missed out on buying the bag with the tan & blue tapestry fabric, (poo), but it's exactly what I want for the underside of a window shade my friend is going to make me. Any chance you know who makes that yummy goodness?

OOOOOOO-LAAAAAAAAAAA-LAAAAAAAAAAAAA....I waited patiently all day and was so lucky to purchase the Robin's Egg Dot Bag pictured here (top right). It's so precious, so ME, and I so can't wait to receive it in all its preciousness! Thanks, Emily!!

Those bags are so cute. I have been having sewing withdraw but with my gallery show August 25th I can't seem to find time. Its a lot of my abstract work which I haven't done nearly enough of since I have been having fun making my little girls so every night I seem to be plugging away at painting. I will just have to live vicariously through you so paint away my dear!

i am so jealous that you went to Of Montreal, I was itching to go, but after moving all day into my new apt I couldn't make the two block walk to McCarren park. I think Detroit Cobras are playing this weekend and the Walkman at the end of the summer.
Did you play kickball too?
