Hello! Here are three bags that were just posted to the Little Moth shop. I found this incredible canvas/linen mix yesterday and went a little crazy with the bag-making. I also made a new floor pillow which is so so lovely, and also it's not white (the last floor pillow I made was white on one side, and pink/white polka dots on the other...what a dummy! that thing was gross and now calls the trashcan home). It's only problem is that the twill I used on the left side is mega wrinkly. It's ok, though. At least it's not solid white. And it is an open case, and ties on the side, so I can easily yank it off and wash it. Hooray!
It's the canvas mix on one side, and that lovely brown wallpaper print here (from Equilter). I love that print so much that, since I immediately used it up, I had to order more last night!
I think that I am really just a total sucker for comics that are published like hardback library books. These are both just beautiful, though..."Poor Sailor" I read through twice yesterday, and the other, "The Ticking" by Rene French I have flipped through (with zest & zeal, though!) and I can't wait to read. Both books illustrations are just lovely..in divergent ways.
"Poor Sailor" has lovely, lovely line drawings that are elegant and organic, but also stylized (in a good way! the best possible way!). Kind of like Craig Thompson's linework (one of my favorite comics-guys) but less emotional maybe is the word I'm looking for. If you haven't read "Goodbye, Chunky Rice", you must. You must. This is not an option. It is one of my favorite things in the world. It is wonderful for grownups and little people. Because everyone knows what it means to have someone go away, or be the one that goes away.
AND HERE is "Goodbye, Chunky Rice" (on Amazon, because it's in it's bazillionth printing, and Top Shelf no longer publishes it). You will not be dissapointed.
